A 5-on-5 game on a smaller field, in which the defending team only defends with 4 field players at a time. The defending team must apply constant pressure — without active pressure, the exercise degenerates into a classic power play. The aim is to keep the ball in the offensive zone and earn yourself a high-quality goal opportunity.
Coach the attack series: Use the width and depth of space. Keep moving and try to pick up the pace. Find free spaces and offer playing options to the player leading the ball.
The exercise can also be played as 4-on-4.
